So, it has taken me a few hours but I have finally created my first blog. Now, some people may ask "but what really is the point of all this blog business!?" and i shall answer the whole world thus: I am traveling and I needed a way to keep people who wanted to know what I was doing, updated and what better way than start a blog eh?
Let me first tell you a little bit about why I have bought a ticket for Europe-land.
Part One. Traveling experiences.
So far, I have been fortunate enough to have already traveled a bit in my life traveling to New Zealand around 2002 with my family, Fiji in 2007 with my family, India in 2008 this time meeting my friends Tamsin and Olivia who originally lived in Castlemaine and in 2009 to China for a football tour. From these amazing experiences I have seemed to conjured up a bit of a liking for different cultures, languages and new exciting places.
Part Two. Destined Friends.
Castlemaine North Primary School was an important step to this blog and my travels because it was there, in grade 5 where I met Alice David. She had just moved from England and was looking around at different schools to go to when she moved to Australia. Now, a many of things could've happened on that day which could've prevented our very friendship. One, myself and Tanika Wolff could've decided that RE wasn't that bad a thing and stuck through the monotonous words about Jesus and how he is the bomb and whatnot and therefore would not have been in Mr Quill's class and invited Alice to sit and colour on the floor with us. Two, Alice could have come at any other time when RE was not happening and gone to the other class missing the invitations of myself and Tanika. Three, Alice could've sat with another group and decided against Castlemaine North Primary as her new school. And, most importantly, four, any of the three of us could've pulled up sick (as May/June months do bring the common cold) and missed the greeting all together! So, destiny was certain on our meeting ! (not to mention that our grandfathers had met and were friends in the Airforce!) After a few years of friendship and travel we both had set on traveling after school.
Part Three. Finishing School.
I am now of the age of 18 and have finished what seemed like an eternity of school (packed full of some amazing memories, nevertheless an eternity of school work). And now that it is all finished I had only one option in my mind. Traveling. So, there you have it. Alice David and I have booked our tickets for the 20th of March and are heading to Abu Dhabi (to visit Tamsin and Olivia) for 5 days then to England, France, Spain, Turkey then back to England once again. After that, we don't have many plans...we are just going to take it how it comes and enjoy our adventures to the entirety!
THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS
1 month, 20 days, 5 hours and 22 minutes to go!
